I have an Exchange 5.5 SP 4 box (NT40) which successfully blocks relaying, however I have noticed that I can send an email to a valid recip in our GAL making it appear to have come from another valid recip in the GAL..(ie spoofing). As I said, relaying is blocked but internal GAL user spoofing can still happen.

I have selected the option in Routing Restrictions " Hosts and clients with these IP addresses check box but not specify any IP addresses" and selected the option "hosts and clients that authenticate" ...restarted the IMS servie and still no change.

anyone else come accross this? Any fixes?

thanks in advance
