I need lab setup for win 2k

Hi friends,
I want to setup a lab at home. I want to get the network diagram for my testing purpose. I want to know how MCT setup lab for training win 2k.

Hi,

The topology of the lab is pretty simplistic. From what I have seen, the instructors station is usually the domain controller/dhcp server as well as hosting any other services specific to the training. Depending on the size of the room and computer availablity, there may be a backup server loaded in the event that the instructors station craps out. The student stations are networked together (including to the instructors station) via a simple hub or switch.

The actual installation and configuration of the server and student stations is done via an unattended installation script provided to the trainers by Microsoft. With some upfront work, you can follow the unattended installation instructions to script your own installation then add VBS scripts and/or CMD files to do special mods specific to your environment (this site is a great resource for such scripts!).
