Is there someone, who have an idea of updating a win2000 installation share with ie6.0
I know that you can update win2000 distribution share with SP1, SP2, SP3.
But when i want to make it complete, i want to update also the Internet Explorer. I don't wanna use IEAK for it. i want it straight in the installation folder.

I had the same problem and couldn't find a clean way to do it...I didnt want to get into the IEAK either. What I did to work around the problem was to use the GUIRunOnce option of the unattended installation to (1) map a drive to a share that contained this and other apps I wanted load and (2) fire of a CMD script to install a series of applications (Acrobat Reader, Perl, IE, SP's, etc) as well as copying down a clean default profile. Using ie6setup.exe /Q does actually work to do a silent install.
Not the perfect solution, but it works...
Hope this helps,
Rick
