Hi All,
Anyone have a script that will reset the NTFS folder/file permissions on everything starting from the root of the drive on an XP system?
When WindowsUpdates are installed, the local administrators group does not have full access to the $NTInstall...$ directories created under Windows. Additional files/folders, such as the System Restore folders (under System Volume Information), have the same issue.
For reasons that I wont get into, I need the permissions that are set on the root of the drive to be re-propogated all the way down, including ownership.
I've done some reading on editing the DACL's using the FSO objects, but cant seem to find just the right thing. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick
