Fat32 will work . You just loose some functionality. Security on the file level being a major one.

You can not nt on fat32, that I know, you can get a utility from
http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/fat32.shtml
to read it. But you can only read it, you can no install it on there. Nt can be put on fat(16) or ntfs4
