I have a machine that is not internet ready running windows 2000 adv server, and I need to install all of the hotfixes and patches to get it up to date.

There are about 15 patches/hotfix files from Microsofts Security bulletin that I really need to install.

My question is: Do I have to install each one and restart my machine, or can I install them all by not restarting my machine until I am through?

Service Pack 1 is already in place. I would like to use Windows Update, but that is not an option right now.

Thanks

Depends on the hotfix. Some will require the restart, others won't. I don't know of any documentation that tells you in advance which require the restart. I wouldn't mess with applying multiple hotfixes that require restarts in succession right over the top of another one. If the hotfix is important enough to install, then it should be important enough to install it the supported way. (I know, I hate it too)

Good luck and bring a book with you on hotfix day.
