Exchange Through a LAN Router

I am currently using exchange's internet mail service with a modem connected directly to the server. however i want exchange to connect through a HP LAN Router. Does anybody know how to do this or where i can get some info on it?

Since you're using Internet mail service with a modem connected directly to the server, I think you just use it for sending mail (outgoing).

Just connect the Ex server to the router, make sure right ports are opened, at the tab CONNECTIONS of INTERNET MAIL SERVICE PROPERTIES, uncheck DIAL USING.

It shall work, I'm using this way now.
