I've inherited a network with about 25 users on it running Exchange 5.5. I know zero about Exchange - I've figured out how to create new users, etc. but in answering me here, keep your suggestions in basic terms. :)
Basically, my boss wants to be able to offer "free" email to some of the members of our organization. The user's would have very small quotas, etc. - I'm not as concerned about that right now. To integrate this within Exchange, I figured the way to go would be to create a separate recipient container and just stick all the freebies in there. That way they're not mixed in with the staff. But when I do this, it looks like I have to associate every Exchange user with a Windows NT Domain user? If this is the case, I would have to create the user an account in my Win2K ADS tree, then create the account in Exchange and link them? I don't like the idea of adding all these users to my domain...
Any suggestions?
