I would be most appreciative if anyone could help me on this . Thanks

I would like to send broadcast message to all workstations from an NT Server. The message could be for e.g "Dear Users, the server will be shutdown at 3 pm today for maintenance purpose " .
how can I sent a broadcast message from a Server Manager in NT Server to a Windows 98 client workstation ? Do I need to install a Messenger service at the client ? If so, where or how do I get a Messenger Sevice for Windows 98 clinet ?

Win98 has a program called winpopup which can be used for this purpose, otherwise there is a cmd command for WinNT this is the syntax

net send /users "The servers shutting down"

you can try it I am not sure if it works because I have not had a need for it, please let me know if it works.
