Wonderful People on the list can some one help with this issue.

We have 2 seperate sites with 2 seperate 2000 AD Domains.

Domaina.com and domainb.co.uk.

The 2 sites are linked vie and internet VPN, and we can ping IP address between both domains.

DomainA is running and exchange server which the users on DomainB access quite happily.

Domainb DNS server has domaina DNS server as its only forwarder, and domaina has the ISP's.

This allows domainb users to resolve names for domaina and domainb. But domaina cannot resolve names for domainb.

As such when I now try to set up trusts between the 2 domains, domainb can contact domaina, but domaina cannot contact domainb.

Anyone any idea how I configure the DNS in domaina so it can resolve names for machines in domainb.

Thanks for your help

Graeme

Graeme,
Just encountered a very similar sounding problem getting our two domains to talk happily to each other. We had a setup where all clients could talk to the internet but the servers couldn't talk to each other or the reverse. The problem seems to be solved by making the DNS servers of domain B secondaries server of domain A and vice versa. Both domains have our ISP's DNS servers as forwarders.

Hope this helps
