I've been having strange issues on my Exchange 5.5 / SP3 server.
When I assign an owner to a distribution list, it usually works fine. (The owner can add/modify members from within their Outlook)
However, occasionally I have problems where the user cannot administer one or more of their DLs, even though they are the owner. They get an error that they don't have this permission.
It doesn't seem to be a user mailbox issue, as the user can often administer at least one or more of their DLs that they're an owner of. But they cannot administer certain DLs. Seems random so far.
Things I've tried:
- Rebooting the Exchange server (restarting services)
- Removed owner from the DL, synched the directory, then assigned ownership to the original user account. Same problem.
- Scanned the README for Exch55SP4, but didn't see any relevant fixes.
- Tried assigning permissions manually (ie Role: USER)
- Deleted/recreated the problem DL.
Any ideas?
I'm willing to try anything to fix this...so feel free to bring up any ideas you may have here!
Thanks
