For some reason, my network printers are not being listed in the Printers container in Active Directory Users and Computers under my OU (other OUs have printers listed in their Printers container, just not my OU). The "List in the Directory" option is selected on the Sharing tab for each network printer, so shouldn't they be listed in Active Dir? Do I have to do something else to get the printers to show up?
What I am trying to do is generate an electronic list of all network printers on my campus, and I thought the easiest way to do this would be through exporting the list from the Active Dir Printers container (but open to other suggestions). But, no list to export! Another option is to try to gen a list in HP JetAdmin but that is a pain.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
