Hi,

We are currently planning a disaster recovery day. The idea is to see how quickly we can recover our systems in the event of a mass data loss (I.E. It is all gone). We will be recovering to the same site. This is my plan, I would appreciate your comments:

1. Cleanly Power down all servers / NW Infrastructure (Hubs / Switches etc)

2. Power up Servers / Hubs / Switches etc

3. Determine the extent of the damage (as this is a drill, we will assume total data loss)

4. Insert 5 to 15 hour break to recover data from tape (which we won't actually do but will just add the hours to the total recovery time)

5. Check the integrety of the recovered data and determine if any is missing.

6. Recover Non critical web services.

All comments appreciated. Thanks
