Hi,

Whenever I try to install Exchange 5.5 on a freshly built Windows 2000 Server it fails to install OWA with the following message:

Setup has detected that you are not running a set of Windows NT related fixes required for Outlook web access. Please see the release notes for further instructions.

Microsoft Exchange Server Setup
ID no: c1037997

I know that this is normally associated with not having the correct NT service pack but now I am stumped....

Any help will be much appreciated
Thank you
James

There's a KB artical about this (I had the same problem), if I remember right it has something to do with account permissions.

Thanks Mark

Exchange 5.5 will install it just refuses to put OWA on. I am logging on as an administrator (which is the article you are refering to I think). Did you manage to get OWA working on Win2k?

Thanks
James

Yep, it installed and worked fine. It's not the logging on as admin article.

Actually, try right clicking on my computer on the desktop, selecting properties and making sure that the computer name and domain was setup right (I believe that this is the cause of some install problems for more then one MS server running under 2000). If this doesn't help post again and I'll see if I can dig up the knowledge base artical.

(sorry it took so long to reply, been out of the office for a few days)
