I have an exch 5.5 sp3 on nt 4.0 sp6. In the past 2 months the server has gone down and it seems that this error event id 1005 is the cause of it. it says it is an error 0xc0040000 - network problems are preventing...the network is fine. but when this error occurs no one can connect and i need to restart the server. i have looked around and have found some information (q163139 and q171050)but it is not related to this particular problem. I have checked what they suggest and the settings are fine. any ideas of what could be causing this. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks
