icons will not display with all possible colors. The check box is selected in the display properties and the color pallete is true 32bit color. Have reloaded video drivers and rebuilt the icon cache. what next?

Dear Chris,

The problem depends on your video hardware. I had a same kind of problem with my Voodoo 4500 card. I was able to select 256 colors or 32-bit colors, but no 16-bit or 24-bit colors. After updating the drivers most of the problems were solved, except that true black (Windows Internal colorcode 0x80000000) becomes green.

Give it a try, or try some different resolutions, some are card or driver specific and might cause a lot of problems.

Regards,

Jeroen.
