We have a large laptop user population who use Offline Folder and File sync to keep local files and network files up to date. All they have to do is right click on a file or folder in a network attached drive ( e.g. their U: drive ) and select Make Available Offline. This file is then automatically synced with a local copy using the UNC path rather than the drive letter. We plan to migrate the data from on old file server to a new one with a different name. I can not find anywhere in the registry where the offline sync is set. This leads to two questions :
a) Can we force the sync to use the drive letter rather than the UNC and if so how ?
b) Where is the information of which files to sync stored ?
Any pointers would be most gratefully received.
