On our exchange server, we have IIS 4 running for Outlook Web Access. This has been running for over 6 months and we have never experienced any problems. A couple of days ago, inetinfo crashed the server because it was using all available memory and CPU. I have installed the latest service packs for NT and Exchange, all critical updates and all IIS 4 hot fixes since the release of NT 4 SP6.

Using performance monitor I have found that IIS has 41 threads running, one of which was using 100% of the processing time. TO resolve this, I have to stop and restart WWW and IIS ADMIN. THis only resolves the problem for a few hours until IIS is using all CPU and Memory again.

Has anyone ever seen a problem like this? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Thanks in advance,

Philip
