Hi,
I have a win 2k DNS server I use as my external dns server. If I run nslookup, and query for "mydomain.com", It doesn't resolve to an ip address.
This is what the command window looks like:
C:Documents and SettingsAdministrator.mydomain>nslookup
Default Server: dns.mydomain.com
Address: xx.xx.xxx.x
> mydomain.com
Server: dns.blakelycrophail.com
Address: xx.xx.xxx.x
Name: mydomain.com
(There should be an IP address here)
>
However, nslookup will resolve all the DNS host names in the zone file. For example if I did an nslookup for www.mydomain.com, or mail.mydomain.com, it resolves without a problem.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
