Is there a way in Exchange 5.5 to restrict who could send to and smtp address. We are trying to restrict of externals sending to internal DL's via the IMC.

Remove the SMTP address from the DL properties, e-mail addesses tab.

Depending on the number of "allowed" addresses ... You can create alias objects for each, then add them to the "Accept Messages From" list under the Delivery Restrictions tab of the DL's property sheet.
