I am very new to exchange and know very little about it.
The company I work for has an exchange server (5.5 SP3) in house that we use to communicate internally. We have an external email address through our ISP that we use for customer service... I want our exchange server to retrieve the messages from that specific mailbox and place them into a public folder on the exchange server where our support staff can view all of the messages.... Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
all public folders in exchange has it's own SMTP address. how do you get your external customer service email? is the mailbox you're talking about in the same exchange server that you use in house? if so, you should be able to setup alternate delivery for that mailbox and point it to the public folder. of course, i'm assuming a lot of things here.
feel free to email me directly if i can assist more.

An easy solution would be to remove the e-mail address from the mailbox and change the public folder to have that e-mail address. External mail will go directly to the public folder this way. Just make sure the public folder has the rights set up to allow anonymous accounts to write to the folder. You can also make the public folder visible to your address book, and internel people can send mail to it as well.

Dont forget the Rules Wizzard!
with a outlook client setup on a system, you can build some rules to toss the messages to any folder ya want.
