Hi Everyone,

I have just recently added a Window 2000 server with active directory to my network. The old NT server is now a BDC. Now some machines can't browse the network with the error message "No net logon servers available to process your logon request". I have tried a few things from the Microsoft site that they recommend like removing the computer in question from the domain and readding it but I just can't get it to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I ahve also tried checking the Net Logon service and the RPC service but they seem okay. HELP!

We had same exact problem on our network last week. For some unexplained reason, Domain controllers disappeared Only for computers running Win2K. Users on NT 4.0 were ok. If you try to browse the network with NT 4.0 machines all works. There's no doubt it has to do with Active directory. After spending a day trying to figure out the reason, we simply restored AD from backup. The strange thing is that it hapened to both our domain controllers at same time. Ever since restoration of AD, we have tons of event log errors from DNS to WINS and have been manually fixing them. Let me know if you find out why it happened in the first place.
cheers,
ben
