Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : DHCP authorization across different subnets fails

I have an Active Directory forest spread across 2 different subnets. Single domain. 1 DHCP server in 1 subnet, a second in the other.

When I try to authorize the second DHCP server it fails. The list of authorized servers shows it as authorized, but the server itself says it is unauthorized.

Similarly, when I tried to add the server in the second subnet as a domain controller, that all seemed to go well, but on the reboot, it failed to come up as a controller. The first site saw it added as a controller, the second site (where the server lives) felt it was not added.

There were some innocuous errors about DNS failing. I checked DNS and all was well. If I leave it as a member server, everything, including logon scripts works fine. All permissions are passed through, etc.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? TIA.
