I've got a mailbox permission issue that I've seen others post about but haven't seen an answer to yet. When mailboxes are moved from my Exch5.5 server to the Exch2000 server, they inherit a long list of permissions including read access for the everyone group. If a new user/mailbox is created on the Exch2000 server, this is not a problem - only "self" has permission to the mailbox.

The Exch2000 server and the Exch5.5 server both belong to the same organization but are located in different domains. When a mailbox is still on 5.5, its permissions are correct (only the owner), but after moving to the 2k server, in inherits the other permissions that cannot be removed.

After moving to the 2k server and the new domain, the following accounts have permission to the mailbox: (domain nameaccount name)
win2kadministrator
win2k2kSRV$
win2kdomain admins
ntusername (mailbox owner's username)
win2kenterprise admins
Everyone
win2kexchange domain servers
