We have Windows NT4.0/SP6a, Exchange 5.5/SP4 and Norton Antivirus for Exchange 2.0 on Dell Power Edge server. There are 4 CPUs, 1GB memory and enough disk space.
Recently I noticed that the server occasionally hang out and in the same time the process ntlgdsca.exe is using more CPU, up to 23%. The server itself is running slowly and the clients have difficulties to access their mailboxes for few seconds, then it goes back to normal.
I couldn’t find anything on this matter in the Microsoft Knowledge Base and I don’t understand what’s going on.
