I have a kinda small migration to accomplish in a few weeks. But I need some input.

Here is my situation. Currently the company has a Windows NT PDC in place, with no BDC. The PDC does not run DNS or WINS, only DHCP. The only other major program running is Lotus Notes Admin (Domino). They have purchased a new server and Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000. They have decided to keep the old server running to access the information from the Lotus DBs. But want the new server W2K to be the DC for their network, same domain name (different server name)and all. They do not want to migrate the Lotus Notes nor the user accounts.

How do I put the W2K server in place, and what needs to be done to the NT server to allow it to function within the domain with the NEW W2K server as DC?

Do you demote the PDC to a member server, or BDC? Can that be done? I really appreciate any help you can give.
