Unbelievably!
After the installation of SP3 on the server no more Windows2000 workstation can logon! All XP or Windows98 PC's run normally and can logon to the domain.
The strange thing is, that all the Windows 2000 Workstations even can not logon locally! No chance to get them starting up!
The error message while trying to logon says:
"The local policy of this system does not permit to logon interactively."
No user neither the local-administrator or the domain-administrator can logon!
We did not define any policy, neither on the workstations nor on the server.

Active directory, SQL2000, Exchange2000 and Terminalservices are installed on the server.

Can anybody help?

Eeek!

Have you checked out your Default Domain Policy and made sure that Deny Logon Locally didnt somehow get set? (Computer Configuration-->Windows Settings-->Security Settings-->Local Policies-->User Rights Assignment). What about disconnecting the machine from the network and logging on localally to force it to use the cached password to at least get you in?

I'd be interested in hearing the cause of this problem.

Thanks,
Rick

We had to uninstall servicepack 3 from one server - SQL died.

My advice, revert to servicepack 2. Mind you, we have no problem with 20 + servers and servicepack 3...
