Hi!
Can you help me to work with Performance monitor.
I can't find a manual which describe step by step how to set PM correctly and may it works, save and read log files.
All information I found are just small parts I can't put together and make it works.
Elena.

Elena.
With Perf Mon you will have to select the computer that you wish to monitor by clicking on the Plus + button on the tool bar and supplying a UNC path to the machine. There are objects that you select to view the components that you wish to monitor IE: Processor,Memory, Disks, Network Cards......
To save a log file for later Viewing you will have to go into the View option on the toolbar and select log, Then options on the toolbar and select log.
Here you will be able to setup you log file and save it (Remember to click on start log) before you click Save.
Note: if you are using this on a high volume server you will increase the Load by 5-10% of the CPU and transfer through the Network Card will increase also.
Also your log file will increase in size very fast so make sure you have a lot of HDD space.
