With all our file and print servers we have had problems printing.
1. If you ping a printer packets drop but if you ping from a windows 2k workstation there is no packet loss.
2. We also have a lot of HP printers and when we have upgraded the firmware and then ping from the server packets are not lost.
3. The symptoms of the printing is that the print jobs miss pages or they start repeating them selves.
4. We have other print type other than HP and can not get firmwware updates for these printers
5. If we ping from our old windows NT 4 servers there is no packet loss.
Can any one please explain what has changed in windows 2000 server or make any sugestions.
