Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : Non-existent E2K size limits?

Hi Guys,

I have an E2K single server that is not allowing messages over 6Mb to be sent out. I have checked the outbound limits in the SMTP protocol, the default limits on the main settings and the user's AD settings. I have searched Microsoft support for all 5.2.3 errors as well, and looked at all settings suggested there, but with no joy. The server can receive large emails, no problem.

It is not the ISP. The message gets returned with the following error:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: large email test

Sent: 21/10/02 09:02

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

jn@bbs.eu.com on 21/10/02 09:02

The message was not delivered because it is larger than the current system limit. Create a shorter message body or remove attachments and try sending it again.

I am obviously missing something obvious - anybody know of any other restriction or setting that might cause this error?

Thanks,

Gary Duckman
