I have a situation where I have a User that I need to give administrator rights to. OS is Win2k.
When I go to the computer management section under local users and groups. I change this persons profile to make them a member of Administrators groups. Then exit. Restart windows. Log on as the user, and try to do simple things like add/remove programs and I get the message that I must have admimistrator rights to do this. same goes for some programs such as Symantics antivirus. I can not run the options dialog because it thinks the user does not have admin rights.
It appears that the change in the Computer mangament section does not take. I have tried many different combinations and nothing works.

Has anyone else seen this? and How do I correct this?

Just a quick question. Is the user logging on locally or to a domain? If to a domain you need to either give them domain rights or ensure they are logging on locally.
