When users try to log into our new exchange 2000 server it hangs and sometimes will timeout. Any ideas why?

DNS is running. It has a forward lookup zone which must have been installed by default, but no reverse lookup zones. You can email my home email if you'd like. I really need help with this issue and can't seem to find any, even tried calling microsoft which sucked.
