Exchange 5.5 on Windows 2000 with Active Directory

At the moment, our systems are running on an NT4 domain structure and working fine.

Recently we have decided to upgrade the hardware and install Windows 2000 server, so first part of the question is :-

Does Exchange 5.5 run on Windows 2000 ok ?

second part

Can Exchange 5.5 coexist with Active Directory without any problems ?
