I have printed the release notes for MS Exchange 2000 Enterprise. This is a new installation on a Windows XP server. The first pre-requisite is Windows 2000 with SP1. Is there any newer Release Notes or detailed instructions for installing Exchange 2000 Enterprise in a Windows XP environment & will it install?

Hi Joe,
In my humble opinion, I don't think that you should be trying to install E2K on Windows XP because there is no "server" edition of that OS (yet...NET pending). I believe that, and someone correct me if I'm not right, that the prereq is Windows 2000 Server SP1, not just Windows 2000.
Additionally, I don't believe that you can even install E2K on XP as the ESM requires the Windows 200 Support Tools to be install in order to work. This is why you wont be able to run the ESM as a managment tool on your XP desktop once you get E2K up.
Hope this gets you headed in the right direction.
Thanks,
Rick
