On a Windows 2000 server we need give a id (domain id) access to performance data without making the userid a Administrative/Power user or anything. (The userid must be able to ONLY access performance data remotely).

I gave the userid access to HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftWindows NTCuurentVersionPerflib as described in KB article Q146906.

Although, when connecting remotely with performance monitor, does not give a access denied error, there are no counters to select.

Any idea on what else might need to be done?
