I'm going to try to explain this as simple as possible:

Exchange 5.5 has users, their email address is user1@exchange.com, etc... They also have another email address, user1@hotmail.com, etc...

Now, I want the users to be able to use their hotmail.com address to communicate with the other users on by sending them to their exchange address at exchange.com.

I know I can have an 'alternate recepient' ex: user1@exchange.com mail that is received get's rerouted to user1@hotmail.com. BUT... how can I have user2@hotmail.com send mail from user2@hotmail.com 'through' (or so it appears) that it came from their user2@exchange.com address?

Also, I want to set some restrictions. user1 and user2 are 'paying' users, which means they can both send AND receive mail to eachother from their hotmail.com account and have it appear as if it came through their exchange.com account. User3 is a 'non-paying' user, another words, user3 CAN RECEIVE mail at their hotmail.com account from user1 or 2 (paying users) BUT can only reply after mail was sent to them from a paying user. They cannot initiate the email because they haven't paid. If they pay, they CAN initiate the mail to any of the other paying users. User3 also has an email account on the exchange server user3@exchange.com.

Finally, ALL users@exchange.com can ONLY send/receive mail from other users@exchange.com.

Whew! I hope this made sense! I guess the biggest problem is can a user send mail from a hotmail.com address and have it appear as if it came from user@exchange.com? And, can I restrict it so that non-paying users can't initiate the email communication - only reply after a paying user sent one to them?

Thank you in advance!
