Well, some folks are still wearing the same socks and underwear they bought decades ago... :)

I can honestly say that while I have shirts that have survived since Windows 3.11 release that none of the underwear and socks have made it that long.

Not sure if that falls under "good thing" or "bad thing" but them's the facts.

I'd say the degree of goodness or badness depends on the quality and frequency of your laundering :)
