Has anyone every migrated from a UNIX based dns server to a windows dns server? If so, how do I do it?

If so, how do I do it? ua549 12-08-2006, 05:11 PM Windows does not have to use Active Directory for DNS unless you have a Windows domain. You can use the text files. Windows has a DNS wizard for maintaing them. It has been quite awhile ago since I used them in Win2k Server, but IIRC the files go in %systemroot%\system32\DNS. I'm sure that MS TechNet has plenty of documentation on how to set it up. In the meantime I'll try to dig up some old info about file names, etc. Serverwatch.com
