I am running Exchange 2003 on SBS 2003. I can recieve email from anywhere, and can send to just about anywhere, except that when I send emails to some addresses I get the following error message:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: Maya#106102018865000

Sent: 10/20/2006 5:06 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

cheapprasials@citigroup.com on 10/20/2006 5:08 PM

The message cannot be delivered due to a configuration error on the server. Please contact your Administrator.

< imbarc-nj01.nj.ssmb.com #5.3.0 SMTP; 553 5.3.0 <cheapprasials@citigroup.com>... Unknown user - sorry.>

Please Help!!

Can you verify if this is the only user in that domain that you cannot reach or if it is multiple users?

Usually when you cannot reach one user the issue is with the one user account on the receiving end.

If you have a situation where you cannot reach anyone at a remote domain it can be many different things from DNS errors to SMTP address black listing.

The eaisest place to start is checking against the user account
