Hi folks
How do I install service pack 4, I hear it is not as straight forward as installing service pack 3. What are the known issues I should address before running the update.
thanks

I just did my company a few weeks ago. I didn't have any issues. Basically, all I did was stop all the Exchange Services, and set them to Manual. Then I rebooted the machine. When the machine came up the services were obviously not running. I then applied Service Pack 4. The Install offers to restart the Exchange services for you, however, it may not start all the services, so you'll have to go back into Services and set all the Exchange Services back to Automatic. You'll need to do this in case of a catastrophic power loss anyway. Reboot again for good measure. Remember, it takes a short while for all Exchange Services to start, SO DON'T PANIC. I also upgraded Norton Anti Virus at the same time.
Remember:
Get FULL backups as soon to the upgrade as possible. It is always nice to save your butt.
Set all your Exchange Services back to Automatic, or you could be stuck with a server running, but not running Exchange cause the services didn't start!!!

Run the Exchange Service pack install. Then rerun the NT 6 service pack and the rollup pack to 6. The rollup was located at www.microsoft.com/ntserver last time I checked. There is to be no SP7, the rollup takes care of all fixes since 6 was published. Running Ex5.5 with no issues.
