In an effort to provide some proactive information and postings to the forums from time to time I am posting this link information from the Microsoft website.
The Administration Tools Pack allows administrators to perform remote server management functions on Windows XP Professional or a Windows Server 2003 systems by installing the Windows Server 2003 management tools for use on those remote systems.
This is the final release version (build 5.2.3790.1830) of the adminpak.msi file and you will need to uninstall all previous versions of the Administration Tools Pack before installing this version.
The Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 Administration Tools Pack is available for download via http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e487f885-f0c7-436a-a392-25793a25bad7&DisplayLang=en and the Microsoft knowledge base article 304718 is available via http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;304718 which describes options to administer computers that are running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Microsoft Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows 2000 and also outlines how to download the Windows Server 2003 Administration Tools Pack (Adminpak).
The article also discusses the various compatibility issues that occur when you remotely administer Windows 2000-based computers from Windows XP-based computers and from Windows Server 2003-based computers and vice versa.
