I'm running Exchange2000 SP3 on Advanced server service pack 2.
For some reason, my IIS Admin, IMAP4, NNTP, POP3, Routing Engine, SMTP and WWW Pub services keep terminating unexpectedly with Event number 7031. But they are all able to restart themselves. This happens about 8 times in the event long at random intervals, but then finally the SMTP service will refuse to start and people's mail just sits in their outbox. The only way I can get it to come back up is to restart the entire server.
This started a few months ago, about a month after upgrading to SP3.
