Hi,

I am trying to configure a terminal server on Windows 2003 where the domain controller resides. When users log on to the terminal server, I want a specific program running automatically. I set up the terminal services "Start a jprogram on connection" from Group Policy Object Editor, then run gpupdate. However, when I log on to the terminal server, it still displays the desktop content. I am not sure how to make this work. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Where is that GPO applying?

Domain object? OU?

Hi Jason,

Thank you very much for your help. It applies to domain object. I cannot figure out why, however, after I tried to reboot the machine, the problem was gone.

Best regards,

Frank

Sometimes machine based policies do not refresh as they should with gpupdate and a reboot is needed

I'm not exactly sure why but I have seen this before and I know that it is a "by design" thing and not a bug
