Hi, experts.

I am looking for expert advice concerning a message I get with an image I am trying to download from a W2K/RIS server.
The destination PC has a PXE-enabled NIC and is configured to boot from it first. When started, then, it has no problem with communicating with the server (W2K Server), getting an IP Address from the DHCP service, and initiating the W2K setup.
But, during the first phase of setup (hardware recognition), it complaints with something like:

"The image you are downloading does not have the drivers for your network
card. Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit."

I'd would appreciate any help you can provide concerning this matter.
Thanks in advance,

Ricardo Márquez.

It sounds like you are using Intel NIC cards. Search intels site for the W2K RIS patch and with it is an explanation of where to put the needed inf files in the proper directory structure. There are two inf files to put in the i386 directory of the image and two in a directory at the same level as i386 called $OEM$ with subdirectory structure of $1 /drivers/NIC it would look something like
i386
$OEM$
$1
DRIVERS
NIC
There is also with some of the newer server NIC's the need to copy two INF files into the template subdirectory of the i386 directory. This information can be found on INTEL's site but you need to dig for it.
