Hello,
We have a remote office with a Window NT 4.0 BDC. We upgraded the main office to Windows 2000 and now the remote office BDC will not talk to our Active Directory Server. If the remote office users go into network neighborhood, they only see the machines in their office and none of our machines. If the admin opens User Mananger for Domains at the remote office, they get an error message the it cannot find the domain controller. Is there a configuration issue that has to be set so that NT 4.0 communicates with 2000? Thanks for any help on this.

I think you need to create a server object in AD and then attempt to login the nt 4 box. I would make sure you are using the proper IP for the DNS servers as well . If wins is being used on the win2k side you may need to set up wins proxy agent on nt4 side and make sure your routers can pass that traffic. Same goes for DHCP. Hope this helps

Cheers,
