I have a group of laptop users for whom I would like to be able to assign the right to be the local administrator of their laptops. The point here is to be able to assign the users to a group that would give them this right when they login. The laptops are running Window 2000 and our network is Nt with domains. I suppose I could setup this up on each individual laptop, but
if can do this with a group assignment then that is the direction I would like to go. We are not as you can tell running "AD". We are using several admin programs such as Enterprize Administrator and Heyna.

Nt/2000 newbie, former Novell administrative person, longing for Nds....

thanks.

I created a global group called SOME_GROUP_NAME and put the domain users that I want to have local admin rights in the group. My workstation image has the global group SOME_GROUP_NAME as a member of the workstaions local group administrators.
