hi,
i have installed IIS and SQL server 2000 on a windows 2000 server. I choosed
custom to install Project server 2002 the following error message appears
after keying in the MSProjectServerRole username and MSProjectRole username.

"the specified MSProjectSeverRole account failed to log on. Check the
spelling and password entered."

can somebody advice me what did i do wrong?

Have you verified the MSProjectSeverRole account password? You may need to reset it and verify that it is correct

do i also need to install SSL on IIS for PWS to work on the client side?

Only if you are going to use SSL.
