I just rebuilt a server (windows 2000) and have been able to restore everything from the backup except for the system state. I have restored the users home area folders which were mapped to the users in active directory, but as I have been unable to restore the system state they are no longer in active directory. I REALLY need a script or tool that allows me to take these folder entries in the home directory and convert them to users in the active directory. Let me explain:
C:D:HOMEPETERSMITH
HOMETOMGREEN
The d: partition contains all these shared folders which were mapped to users present in active directory. I need these folder names to be present in the active directory and mapped to these folders without having to enter all (2000!) users again. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!
