I got about 30 clients connected and working in an exchange 2000 environment. I just added someone new to the active directory. When i get the 'check name' portion of the outlook setup it tells me the name is not available in the address list. I can check my account and it works. *i do not have hide from global address list checked*
(i have also read thru many white papers on technet to no avail - thru lpd.exe it seems all the proper attributes are there)
Thanks for any insight you can offer.

Can you see the user account in Active Directory Users and Computers?
Have you tried to create the account again with the same logon name (to see if it errors out as not a unique name)?

Ok this is what i have figured out so far. I have setup replmon.exe on all of our servers and they all work except the main DC.
I am getting this in the Directory Service Log:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: NTDS KCC
Event Category: Knowledge Consistency Checker
Event ID: 1265
Date: 9/24/2003
Time: 8:27:15 AM
User: N/A
Computer: DELL4200
Description:
The attempt to establish a replication link with parameters
Partition: CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,DC=NABOO
Source DSA DN: CN=NTDS Settings,CN=SERVER1,CN=Servers,CN=Default-First-Site-Name,CN=Sites,CN=Configuration,DC=NABOO
Source DSA Address: 47bfe4ad-7379-43e2-a532-01deaa37f5da._msdcs.NABOO
Inter-site Transport (if any):
failed with the following status:
The DSA operation is unable to proceed because of a DNS lookup failure.
The record data is the status code. This operation will be retried.
Would rebooting my gc and exchange servers fix this replication problem? (i tried restarting DNS & netlogon services to no avail)
Seems objects are replicating to all servers except the GC....will this prevent the outlook setup?
