Can soem one please explain what it means to give a 'Public Folder' an email address in exchange. Does that mean that any folder in a LAN which has exchange can have an email address attached to it enabling one to email a file to a folder.

Thanks in advance.
This is a small issue I need to solve and am totally new to exchnage so not sure where to start.

To email enable a public folder is to be able to send mail to it. In other words if I setup a folder called test and email enable it then send mail addressed to that folder it will show up so all who have access to that folder can read it. You can email enable by going to System Manager and then drilling down into public folders until you find the one you want. Right click on that folder and then "All Tasks" and then "Mail Enable". Note the email address will be the same as the folder name so be sure to name it something meaningful.

Hope this helps...
